Prior to installation,thorough preparation is required.Verify the specifications and material of the rubber sheets,inspect them for cracks,deformation,or damage,and strictly distinguish their intended use to prevent mixing.Clean oil and dust from the blade and support contact surfaces using anhydrous ethanol to ensure a clean,dry base.Strictly control the construction environment—ideal temperature ranges from 5°C to 35°C with wind speed below 8 m/s.In cold conditions,preheat the sheets to avoid brittle cracking.Use plastic tools exclusively during installation;sharp metal tools must be prohibited to prevent scratches on the sheets or blades.

Installation of rubber sheets at the blade root flange requires high precision.Align bolt holes accurately,lay the pad flat without twisting or folding.Apply a double-layer thin coating of dedicated adhesive,wait until the adhesive is semi-dry before bonding,then roll press from the center outward to expel air.Tighten bolts in stages using a diagonal cross-tightening method,controlling the compression rate of the pad between 15%and 25%.For segmented sheets,join them with a 45°beveled cut,ensuring the gap does not exceed 0.5 mm.Finally,apply sealant along the outer edge of the pad to provide waterproof and dustproof protection.
Buffer sheets for lifting and storage have two installation methods.For long-term storage supports,use a flat-laying bonding technique,leaving expansion joints,compacting firmly,and ensuring drainage channels face downward.For temporary lifting protection,secure the sheets by wrapping with straps,conforming to the blade’s curved surface,applying double-layer protection at sharp corners,and adjusting tightness appropriately to prevent displacement or blade compression.
After installation,check that the sheets are evenly bonded with no hollows or curled edges.Allow the flange to stand undisturbed for 24 hours to confirm no leakage and verify secure,non-loose fastening.During daily operations,avoid improper practices such as over-torque tightening or reverse installation.Inspect pad condition every six months,promptly replace aged or damaged components,regularly clean drainage channels,and relieve pad pressure during prolonged shutdowns to effectively extend service life.
