Is nitrile butadiene rubber resistant to oil

Nitrile butadiene rubber is a copolymer of acrylonitrile and butadiene, with excellent oil resistance. In addition,it also has good resistance to water, solvents, gas tightness,high-pressure oil resistance, and excellent adhesion properties.
Nitrile butadiene rubber sheets are mainly produced by low-temperature emulsion polymerization method, with acrylonitrile content ranging from 18%to 50%.The higher the acrylonitrile content, the better the resistance to petrochemical oil products and hydrocarbon fuels, but the low-temperature performance deteriorates. The general use temperature range is-25 to 100℃.Nitrile butadiene rubber is one of the most commonly used butadiene rubbers for oil seals and O-rings.
Nitrile butadiene rubber sheets have good resistance to oil, water, solvents, gas tightness,high-pressure oil resistance, and excellent adhesion properties. They work in oil medium(engine oil, diesel, gasoline, lubricating oil)and have sealing and anti-expansion properties. They have good compression, wear resistance, and elongation force.
Nitrile butadiene rubber sheets are widely used to make various oil-resistant butadiene rubber products, such as oil-resistant gaskets, washers, sleeves, tubes, soft packaging, soft butadiene rubber hoses, printing ink rollers, and cable butadiene rubber materials, etc. They have become indispensable elastic materials in the automotive, aviation, petroleum, and copying industries.
